Questions

Are these script fonts really free for commercial use?
Yes. Every font on this page is released under the SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0, so you can use it in logos, products, packaging and client work. The licence file is included in each download.
What is the difference between script and cursive fonts?
People use the words for the same thing: fonts that look joined-up and handwritten. "Script" usually means calligraphy-style lettering, while "cursive" is often used for everyday joined handwriting.
Can I use a script font for body text?
Not really. Scripts are hard to read in long paragraphs and at small sizes. Use them for names and headings, and pair them with a simple serif or sans for everything else.
Why do my letters look disconnected?
Script fonts need normal letter spacing to join up. If your design app has added extra tracking, set it back to 0.
